About Sonia Richards

Sonia Richards is an experienced and qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique, and is a Member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique. She runs her own Alexander Technique teaching practice, with both private and corporate pupils, and also works at several physiotherapy practices in her local area.

Some past pupils include the Olympic silver medallist and world champion rowers in the female squad from the last Olympics, and has had referrals from the Redgrave Clinic. She also regularly lectures to the general public and has given a presentation to the Olympic rowing squad, as well as to their doctors, physios and trainers.

Sonia has written over ten published articles on the Alexander Technique and the benefits it can bring to riders. In her teaching sessions, Sonia will use a combination of verbal explanation and gentle touch to help with balance and co-ordination.
